Spring GDS 25th Anniversary
A logistics company that ships to 190 countries built something to ship to itself.
A Christmas game where every finished night becomes a donation to autism organizations.
Every year, Vasava and Dallonses decide together what to give the people closest to us. Clients, partners, friends, families. For Christmas 2024, we skipped the box and made a browser game instead: The World According to Raf, playable in English, Catalan, and Spanish. You spend New Year's Eve as Raf, an autistic person, and finishing the night triggers a donation to Aprenem Autisme and Autisme la Garriga.
Autism isn't an abstract cause for us. Some of the people closest to our teams are autistic, and we see how much of everyday life assumes one way of perceiving the world. New Year's Eve is a good example. Loud, crowded, full of countdowns and expectations. Playing it as Raf teaches more than reading about it ever could, and that lesson comes with the gift.
The idea came from both studios. Vasava designed the characters, the look, and the atmosphere of the night. We built it as an interactive project in Three.js that runs in the browser from a single link, with nothing to download or install. The same web development we bring to client work, pointed at something personal.
Our teams chose where the money went. Every player who saw Raf's night through to the end added to a donation for two organizations supporting autistic people and their families. Dallonses is a certified B Corp, and we believe companies should do some good where they can. A gift with no waste, a bit of sustainable technology, and a little help for people doing important work felt like the right way to close the year.
